About Leadership New Hampshire
Leadership New Hampshire (LNH) builds and fosters a community of informed and engaged leaders through a unique experiential program. The purpose of LNH is to identify regional talent capable of taking on statewide issues and perspectives; to build the expectation that participants will assume and expand leadership roles on statewide issues; and to develop a network for effective leadership. Today, more than one thousand leaders from across the state have completed the LNH program. They have the knowledge, leadership abilities, and dedication needed to foster effective citizen involvement in all levels of social and political life in New Hampshire.
Each year since 1992, LNH has identified a class of 25-42 individuals from the public, private, and non-profit sectors who represent the various geographic regions and communities within the State. The LNH program is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of community and statewide needs while expanding their personal leadership experiences. Program seminars combine lectures, panel discussions, debates, field trips, workshops, retreats, simulations, and dialogues. Participants engage with top state officials, artists, students, judges, editors, corporate leaders, educators, and members of local communities.
LNH’s work is supported by a small and mighty team of 3 staff and a committed Board of Trustees. The organization currently operates with a budget of approximately $300,000.
